About
For this ninth lunch meeting of our Perth Rotary Centenary Year, our meeting Chair - Past President Manu Gupta - invites you to join us for Rotary Fellowship, our Perth Rotary Diwali 2026 Celebration and hear from Professor Amit Chakma, Vice-Chancellor of University to Western Australia (UWA) on his topic 'Building Bridges, Lighting Futures: The Growing WA-India Relationship through Shared Education.'
Given UWA’s expanding engagement with India, Professor Chakma will share with us his perspective on education and institutional partnerships within the growing Australia-India relationship. His perspective will provide our guests with a unique insight into how universities, students, knowledge and international collaboration can create enduring connections between our two countries. Education is one of the most powerful bridges between cultures, and his experiences would make this a particularly meaningful conversation for our audience.
Come and join us for our Diwali Celabrations, and hear this important message of international collaboration!
Bookings close Tuesday 3rd November 2026 @ 3pm
