About
Come and Learn the Weaving History of Islamic Psychology
Long before modern psychology had a name, Muslim scholars were writing about the mind, heart and soul. Thinkers such as Al-Balkhi, Ibn Sina and Al-Ghazali explored emotions, mental illness and well-being. Some of their ideas still echo in therapy rooms today.
Between Two Traditions looks at where these two worlds meet.
What you'll learn:
- How Islamic scholars understood the human mind and soul
- Key figures and their contributions to mental health
- Core concepts such as the nafs, qalb, 'aql and ruh
- Where Islamic and Western psychology overlap and differ
- How practitioners bring both traditions together today
