About
Join us at Readings' A Day in Carlton, 24 hours celebrating books, culture and community
Gather round in a circle and settle in for show and tell with artist, writer and filmmaker Shaun Tan and Readings’ own Dr Comics, Bernard Caleo. They will be chatting about Shaun Tan’s 'Hometown' and all things graphic novels.
Imagine living in a perfect world. You have a loving family, a beautiful home and awesome friends. Everything is just as it should be. Until one day, when a stranger arrives. A stranger who looks just like you. A stranger with a troubling message. 'Hometown' is a visually stunning, moving and humorous meditation on all the things that make us who we are and how we choose to live.
Suitable for ages 9 and above.
Tickets:
Full priced $20
Under 30s/concession $15
The Readings pop-up bookshop will be open at this event.
This event is part of the ABA Bookseller Events Program, assisted by the Australian Government through Writing Australia
