City of Newcastle has updated its flash flood mapping for the Hexham and Woodberry Swamp Catchments. Drop in to this community information session to explore the new flood information, speak with the project team and technical experts, and learn more about understanding and managing flood risk.
At the session you can:

Explore the flood maps and see what they show for your property

Ask questions about flood behaviour, flood risk and what the mapping means for you and your property

Speak with representatives from the NSW State Emergency Services (SES) and the Insurance Council of Australia about preparing for floods and flood insurance
When: Thursday 22 October 2026, 4.30pm - 7.00pm
Where: Beresfield Community Hall, 39 Beresford Avenue, Beresfield
Register: Bookings are encouraged but not essential. Priority will be given to people who have booked.
