About
Area 11 Conference & Contests: Public Speaking Competition
Every speaker on that stage once dreaded public speaking. Come and see what happens when they keep going.
Ipswich's best public speakers battle it out in four contests:
- International Speech: a prepared 5 to 7 minute speech on any topic.
- Humorous Speech: a prepared 5 to 7 minute speech built to make you laugh.
- Evaluation: contestants watch a test speech, then deliver a 2 to 3 minute evaluation of it on the spot.
- Table Topics: speakers get a topic they've never seen and speak for 1 to 2 minutes, no preparation.
Whether you're a Toastmaster, thinking about joining, or just curious, come along. It's a great morning out and a chance to see what confident speaking looks like up close.
