About
Frogs are important indicators of environmental health, but many species are facing increasing pressures from habitat loss, disease and climate change. To help conserve them, we need to better understand where frogs occur and how their populations are changing. That's where FrogID comes in – a free app by the Australian Museum that allows anyone with a smartphone to record frog calls and contribute to frog monitoring.
In this presentation, you'll discover some of the fascinating frogs you might hear around Mosman, why frogs are important indicators of a healthy environment, and how FrogID is transforming our understanding of Australia's frogs. The presentation will be held during Australia’s annual FrogID Week (6-15 November), giving Mosman residents the opportunity to get involved and help monitor frog populations.
Join us to discover the frogs in your neighbourhood and learn how FrogID recordings are helping monitor frogs and the health of our environment.
Free event, bookings essential.
