About

Come and try historical fencing with us!

Historical fencing involves the use of Renaissance weapons in the competitive sport of fencing.

At the Fitzroy College of Arms, we take inspiration from historical texts to inform our modern-day play of the sport. We have a strong focus on fitness, body mechanics and technique to create safe and effective fencing.

You will learn the fundamentals of historical fencing with a variety of Renaissance weaponry. Whether you're looking to improve your fitness in a unique sport, complement your existing training or just something fun to try on the weekend, you'll get something out of our classes.

Your coach will be David Gresham, head longsword coach and two-time World Broadsword Champion. David brings over 12 years of fencing experience and a fun learning style to his classes.

You can sign up for one class at a time, otherwise get the full course with 20% off!
