About
Overview
Pregnancy is assumed to be a happy time. Sometimes it is, and sometimes stress exists alongside the joys. And sometimes, the stress can be louder and more significant when you’re pregnant.
This can look like:
- Trying to get everything organised for your new arrival - within a rough (but uncertain) deadline.
- Planning to wind up work, ready for maternity leave.
- Concerns, scares, or worries about the pregnancy.
- Navigating pregnancy complications or symptoms.
- Worrying about the impact of stress or negative emotions on the pregnancy and baby.
- Surviving day to day demands and obligations - when everything is harder and you’re more tired.
- Navigating stressors, such as trying to move house.
- Disrupted sleep – and increased fatigue.
Getting told to ‘just relax’ or to reduce your stress is rarely helpful.
Learning concrete ways to mange or reduce stress is far more helpful – and where this webinar comes in.
Join Dr Emma Black for a discussion of evidence-based ways to manage stress during pregnancy. (I’d love to see you there!)
What is covered?
- An overview of the many types of stress that women can experience in pregnancy – and why any single approach won’t help all of these different concerns.
- Practical steps you can take to manage stress generally.
- Practical steps to manage the different stressors in pregnancy.
