Mattutino - Sally Walker: Bach for a Sunday Morning

Location
Tempo Rubato 34 Breese St, Brunswick, VIC, 3056

About

An idyllic way to spend a Sunday morning: Canberra-based flute soloist, Sally Walker, brings one of the true gems of the flute repertoire to Tempo Rubato with Bach’s Partita in A Minor. Beloved for its beautiful melodies, soaring runs, and brilliant passages which leave audiences breathless, this sublime work in four dance movements is soulful, sophisticated and riveting. Performing on not one, but five different instruments - Renaissance, Baroque, alto, and concert flutes and piccolo – Sally will reveal the often overlooked variety and drama of works for solo flute in music spanning five centuries, from Dowland and de Boismortier to Piazzolla, Kats-Chernin, Joseph Tawadros and Ross Edwards.
