Kate Whitehead is the founder and Managing Director of Avant Group, a business strategy and government grants consultancy she established in 2012. Kate is also Chair of Export Chamber Australia Inc. (ECAI).
She brings more than 17 years of grants experience and over a decade working across manufacturing and defence.
Kate speaks to audiences ranging from SME founders and technical leaders through to large defence contractors, covering federal and state grant programs, the R&D Tax Incentive, funding pathways for scaling and commercialisation, and the common mistakes that cost businesses a successful application. Her sessions are deliberately practical, focused on how manufacturers can actually access funding rather than high level policy commentary.
