Experience the Stage Without the Competition!

The RAD Student Performance Group is a unique opportunity for students to learn, rehearse and perform a professionally choreographed group work alongside fellow RAD dancers from across Queensland and Northern NSW.

Open to RAD students from Primary to Advanced Foundation, this exciting program is designed to inspire and engage young dancers through professional artistic guidance, collaborative learning and the thrill of performing on stage.

The highlight of the program is that the Student Performance Groups take to the stage and perform at The Jacqueline Morland Awards 2027 Finals on Sunday 21 March 2027.

Four Rehearsal Dates and Final Performance

• Sunday 21 February 2027 - Rehearsal
• Sunday 28 February 2027 - Rehearsal
• Sunday 7 March 2027 - Rehearsal
• Sunday 14 March 2027 - Rehearsal
• Sunday 21 March 2027 - Performance at the JMAwards

Rehearsal Times

• Primary & Grade 1 - Approximately 8:00am - 11:00am
• Grade 2 & Grade 3 -Approximately 8:30am - 12:15pm
• Grade 4 & Grade 5 -Approximately 10:30am - 2:30pm
• Intermediate Foundation - Advanced Foundation -Approximately 12:15pm - 4:00pm

Students who register for the RAD Student Performance Groups are requested to keep the rehearsal days and times available. The times above are an approximate window and may be subject to change. Confirmed rehearsal schedule will be released as soon as we are able.  

Performance Time

Students are required to keep availability on the day of the performance, Sunday 21 March. Confirmed performance schedule will be released as soon as we are able. 

LOCATION

Rehearsals -   held at SJ Block Dance Studios, Kelvin Grove State College. 

Performance -   held at the Jacqueline Morland Awards - venue yet to be announced.

Audience tickets will be on sale in early 2027.

Please Note

The RAD Student Performance Group is a standalone performance opportunity and is separate from the Jacqueline Morland Awards competition.

Participation in the Performance Group does not require entry into the Jacqueline Morland Awards. Likewise, students entered in the Jacqueline Morland Awards are warmly encouraged to participate in the Student Performance Group, with separate registration applicable for each event.
