The Mannheim School consisted chiefly of two generations of composers, who contributed to the evolution of the controlled orchestral crescendo and the homophonic musical style. You are invited to this journey through the truly elegant early classical music, from the birth of clarinet in compositions by Stamitz through to the chamber works of Mozart.
