SPRUNG FESTIVAL 2017 - Discover the Space
20th-30th of September 2017.
Sprung Festival is a two-week theatre festival with an immersive celestial design that celebrates third year CSU Theatre/ Media student’s final works. This year we will be transforming the Ponton Theatre and Creative Hub on the CSU campus into a nebula of spectacular roving acts, theatre and live music from our talented local musicians: including an opening performance from Bathurst’s own Smith and Jones. Sprung Festival will feature 6 original works: including an Opening Ceremony. The shows vary in style from comedy, to physical theatre and serious drama; there is something for everyone!

Anything to Declare? / Keep Warm / Sheltered / Too / Whiteout
The festival will kick off with the Opening Ceremony: Constellations of the Mind on the 20th of September. The space will be filled with large scale puppets, an alien circus and fire performances – be ready to discover a new world, bursting with activity, wonder and alluring galactic design.
In the weeks before Sprung commences we will debut Transmission on the 8th- 9th of September, a 24hr film competition open to everyone. You can put your film skills to the test, win some awesome prizes and even have your film featured in the Festival itself. To get involved or for more information go to www.sprungfestival.com
We also encourage anyone with a passion for media and the arts to come to Theatre/Media Pathways forum on the 29th of September. From this panel of Theatre/Media Alumni comes a wide range of experience and industry skill. Join us as we talk about the future of regional arts and opportunities as emerging artists.
