Camp Out on the Mount 2018

The Camp Out on the Mount is a popular event for people of all ages. This is your chance to camp out in a fun community setting on beautiful Leanganook, learn about nature and cultural heritage in our area.

Below is a run-down of the Camp Out weekend. You are more than welcome to attend some or all of the activities. Please let us know through the booking website which parts you are interested in, as this will help us get an idea of how many people to expect.

FRIDAY 11TH MAY	4:30 pm	Sign in
	4:45 pm	Welcome to Country
	5:00 pm	Welcome and thank yous
	5:10 pm	Lions Club BBQ (vegetarian options provided)
	6:00 pm	Heritage talk from George Milford
	6:40 pm	Singing around the campfire with James Rigby
	7:30 pm	Night walk with Parks Victoria
OVERNIGHT CAMP OUT
SATURDAY 12TH MAY	9:30 am	Nature walk with Tanya Loos
	10:30 am	Break
	11:00 am	Launch of new Camp Out on the Mount t-shirts by Maree Edwards MP and Castlemaine Secondary students
	11:15 am	Little Habitat Heroes activity
	12:00 pm	Damper and BYO lunch
	1:00 pm	Activities – learn about the environment and cultural heritage with Aunty Julie McHale, TZR Reptiles & Wildlife, and Castlemaine Secondary students
	3:30 pm	Wrap up
