ASLIA Vic AGM & Deaf Interpreter workshop

The 2018 ASLIA Vic AGM will be followed by a workshop. The workshop is titled "Co Interpreting: Deaf & Hearing Interpreters Together", presented by accomplished Deaf Interpreter and Interpreter trainer, Nigel Howard of Canada.
Nigel Howard is a Canadian Deaf Interpreter with 25 years of experience in a wide range of settings locally, nationally and internationally. Nigel works as an instructor in the Program of Sign Language Interpretation at Douglas College and in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Victoria, both in British Columbia. He is a WFD and WASLI Accredited International Sign Interpreter and a part of the United Nations IS team. Additionally, Nigel provides a variety of workshops around the globe covering topics from Deafhood to professional interpreter development.
NOTES:
- This is an Auslan only event.
- Members will be provided a complimentary beverage during the AGM.
- AGM will be livestreamed for Tasmanian members
- Venue is accessed by the No.1 tram (stop 18) and the closest train station is Flinders St.
