Sprung Festival of Creativity 2018 (SOLD OUT)

 

CYCLE Productions and the School of Communication and Creative Industries presents SPRUNG FESTIVAL OF CREATIVITY 2018 - Imagine the Possibilities.

19th-29^th of September.

Sprung Festival of Creativity 2018 is a two-week, fringe style theatre festival. The festival is located in the regional city of Bathurst, at the Charles Sturt University campus.

Sprung showcases the creative performance works of 3^rd year Theatre Media students. This year’s showcase will include five original shows each with a running time of 40-50 minutes.

Schapelle, Schapelle- The musical, Corby's adventure from ‘Brissie to Bali.’

In Between - Where in the world of subconscious, grief takes shape.

Sexpecatations A verbatim and documentary style theatre production exploring masculinity and femininity.

Rumble- An interactive app within an immersive theatre experience in to the Amazon.

I Will be King - A scripted psychological thriller interwoven with dance.

OCCC- Opening and Closing Ceremonies that will bookend the festival with fire performance, circus, dance and percussion.

There will also be two matinee shows on offer

The evening shows will commence from 6pm

Sprung Festival will also include “Sprung Sprint”- a 24hr Film Festival competition that is open to the public. Commencing on the 7^th of September, where participants receive a topic and have 24hrs to write, film, edit and submit their works.

This year we invite the Bathurst community to enter the elegant outdoor area of the Ponton Theatre courtyard. Here you will be immersed in the exotic wonderland themed garden, where you can enjoy live music acts and the inexpensive bar between the shows, featuring Bathurst’s own Gabbi Bolt.

SEASON TICKET OFFER

From 9am Thursday 6th September to 9am Thursday 13th September, limited Season Tickets are available for purchase. Season tickets allow the buyer to see 4 Sprung shows of their choosing at a special discounted price. To ensure that you lock in a seat at your selected shows, patrons who purchase a season ticket MUST email Sprung Assistant Co-ordinator Heather at heather.m.edmonds@gmail.com with their chosen show dates as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
