SPEAKERS
- Christina Na-heon Cho – 2018 National Emerging Architect Prize recipient Christina Na-heon Cho chats about her experiences at the crossroads of architecture + art, collaboration + public engagement and work + life.
- Isabelle Toland – 2018 NSW Emerging Architect Prize winners. One of the Creative Directors of Australia’s 2016 Venice Architecture Biennale entry, ‘The Pool’, Isabelle Aileen Toland of Aileen Sage has been building a practice since 2013 that spans small but beautifully crafted domestic projects, speculative public design in both invited and open competitions, and urban design studies and place making research for the Government Architect NSW.
The consistent theme in this work is thoughtful research-based propositions designed to test the realms of architecture and practice. - Tomek Archer – 2017 NSW Emerging Architect Prize winner, of Archer Office, approaches a variety of projects with an intensity that does not discriminate by scale or typology, and consequently the work spans an unusual diversity for a small practice.
Archer Office continues to work across a broad spectrum of scales and typologies from furniture and pavilions, to residential, public and commercial architecture, to urban design and masterplanning. This broad exposure enables the translation of strategies and technical expertise to create effective hybrids that do not necessarily defer to architectural solutions.
