Colour Woodcuts Workshop (SOLD OUT)
Location
Packsaddle Studio New England Regional Art Museum, 106-114 Kentucky Street, Armidale, NSW, 2350
About
In this weekend workshop, Basil Hall will demonstrate various ways in which woodcuts can be printed onto Japanese papers using water-based inks and a baren. He will also introduce participants to a hand-applied colour process using powdered pigment. This is a printing
method which doesn’t rely on a press and uses only waterbased pigments and inks. It’s something that can be safely done at home and the resultant prints have a wonderful subtlety and sophistication!
