About
Jackie Dent
Journalist Jackie Dent grew up knowing her grandparents had donated their bodies to science, it was something she had vaguely wondered about but never really explored – until a few years ago when a chance encounter sparked her curiosity. In The Great Dead Body Teachers Jackie takes us on adventurous romp through the history of anatomy as she attempts to determine exactly what happened to her grandparents’ bodies.
Jackie will be in conversation with Stephen Brook, deputy editor of the Sunday Age. Stephen has also worked at both The Australian and The Guardian newspapers, in Britain and across Australia. He is a journalist, podcaster, columnist and interviewer whose career has taken him to 11 countries where he has interviewed everyone from Ita Buttrose to Simon Cowell, and reported on everything from science to five star hotels in Bali.
