MATTUTINO: AFFINITY QUARTET
Location
Tempo Rubato
About
Josephine Chung & Nicholas Waters, violins
Ruby Shirres, viola
Mee Na Lojewski, cello
Affinity Quartet promises a special treat for our final Mattutino of the year. The program centrepiece is the Hungarian Bela Bartók’s first string quartet, inspired by Beethoven and creating a striking new direction for the string quartet in the 20th century. Alongside it, they'll play Haydn's "Emperor" quartet, one of his ambitious op. 76 works.
Praised by Classic Melbourne for their ‘attention to detail and emotional breadth’, don't miss Affinity Quartet.
Mattutino is our monthly Sunday morning concert series.
One hour of music at 11am.
Stay for a complementary sherry and some nibbles after the concert.
Tickets $25
