About
“A play on witches with no witches in it.” - Caryl Churchill
In a 17th century village, a group of women struggle to survive on their own terms in a society where one label can mean poverty, imprisonment, and death. VINEGAR TOM is a raw drama that directly addresses the fight for control over the inherent power of women. An exciting early play by an acclaimed Obie Award winning author was created in association with a British feminist theatre who requested a play about witches. Although Vinegar Tom is set in the 16th or 17th century in rural England, it has a contemporary feel. MA .Mature Themes.
Due to the nature of the show it will start strictly at advertised start times - 2pm matinees and 7.30pm evening sessions
