Three mini workshops to explore repetition, variation and contrast. These three workshops will provide in depth discussion of these three compositional devices as well as worked examples and a worksheet to practice analysis skills after the workshop. These sessions will be recorded for later access.
Three sessions were held in June 2024 via Google Meet and were recorded so are still accessible. These sessions are great revision for leading up to exams. After you register your email address will be added to a private YouTube Channel and you will be sent a link to that to access the 3 recordings. Registrants will need to supply either a gmail or the email that you usually use to login to Youtube.
Ticket price is $85 to access all 3 videos.
About the Presenter:
Jenny Gillan has taught Music at all levels; from early childhood to primary, secondary, tertiary and teacher training. She is a passionate advocate of music literacy. She currently teaches at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School where she oversees the aural program and teaches listening analysis and Musicianship at the Junior level up to VCE. She conducts two choirs at St Michaels Grammar School and has presented at many conferences across Australia and internationally. Jenny studied at the Kodaly Institute in Hungary, obtained her Masters of Music Studies in Queensland and taught in the UK.
