Xani - Contemporary Electric Violin Recital (SOLD OUT)
Location
Tempo Rubato
About
Xani is a Naarm/Melbourne-based contemporary violinist exploring spontaneous composition and improvisation on amplified violin, with live looping and electronic effects.
Blurring the borders of genre, Xani takes inspiration from her folk and classical beginnings, to her studies in jazz, rock and improvised music, meshed with her curiosity for electric guitar effects, electronics and surround sound.
Xani has been selected to showcase in May at this year’s Classical:NEXT music conference being held in Berlin, Germany, exploring innovation and directions in art music.
This concert provides a chance to hear her Classical:NEXT showcase material as well as a selection of new music, before she heads off for her first European musical experience.
TICKETS $30 | $25
Tickets are available on the door for concerts that haven't sold out prior.
Tempo Rubato is a cashless venue, please bring a card/electronic device if you plan to purchase your ticket on the door.
