1 hour session to show you the basics of owning and operating a firearm (long arms) on a rifle range. you get to make this session your own - you choose how you want to spend your time, ask as many questions as you like. You can choose to hire a rifle, or bring your own along.

Includes:
- SSAA sign in (an attendance) and a target
- How to sight in a gun via bore sighting at 25m – this means sighting your scope on a 25m range and at longer distances. This will include windage and elevation adjustment of your scope, parallax in plain English. You will then move to 50m and/or 100m
- Range rules and range conduct
- Cleaning basics and maintenance
- Getting on target
- This is for beginners who have their Firearms Licence. This is for bolt action rifles, standard accepted calibres - .22, .308, .223. No pistols, shotgun, magnums, pump action, taipans, lever action or black powder.

What you need to bring:
- Your rifle (unless you have selected the option to hire)
- Your own ammunition (unless you have selected the option to hire)
- Hearing protection
- Eye protection
- Fully enclosed shoes
- Firearms licence
- SSAA membership card
