About
Supporting someone living with MS can bring many questions. Learning more about MS is an important first step in providing meaningful support.
Navigate MS: Family & Friends is a live online education session designed for adults who support someone living with MS, including family members, friends and informal carers.
Join our MS Nurse expert for this 60-minute session covering:
- Understanding MS, including symptoms, treatments and common terminology
- Navigating the health system and available supports
- Practical tips to support and communicate with someone living with MS
- Where to access further information, support and resources
Who is this session for?
This session is designed for adults (18 years and over) who support someone living with MS, including family members, friends and informal carers.
The session is designed for adult discussion and shared experiences, and we ask that children and young people do not attend.
This session is designed for informal supports rather than health professionals or paid support staff.
What to expect:
This is a live online group education session facilitated by an MS Nurse. The session includes a presentation, opportunities to ask general questions via the chat, and time for discussion.
Participants are welcome to have their camera on or off. As this is a group session, not all questions can be answered during the available time, and some questions may be better addressed through individual support.
Format: One live session (60 minutes)
Platform: Online via Microsoft Teams
Cost: Free
Date: Wednesday 28 October 2026 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
