About

Newsies is a Disney musical and is adapted from the real Newsboys' Strike of 1899 in New York City. The movie takes place around a band of teen newsboy newspaper vendors, led by Jack Kelly, who fight against corporate publisher bosses who raise prices of distribution to the expense of the most underprivileged children. Along the way, Jack finds friendship, love, and the courage to stand up for what is right.
