Red Hill Olive Grove — A Homeschool Morning on the Farm

A working olive grove, a guided farm tour, and a grazing lunch under the trees — a hands-on morning out for homeschool families.

Join us at the stunning Red Hill Olive Grove for a morning where children learn where our food really comes from — out in the fresh air, alongside other homeschool families.

The morning includes:
- A 1-hour guided farm tour — a walking tour through the olive grove, learning about biological farming, olive oil, and table olives. Children will wander through the vineyard, explore the bush foods and hops garden, and meet the farm animals, with plenty of chances to touch, smell, and pick the seasonal produce and see how the farm grows sustainably.
- A grazing plate—a platter of fresh, seasonal produce from the farm, including their olives (dietary requirements catered for). Think of this as lunch for the day.
- A farm-made cordial

A beautiful morning of hands-on learning in nature—the kind that stays with them.

Where: Red Hill Olive Grove, 1180 Mornington-Flinders Rd, Main Ridge VIC
Tickets: $75 per person (children and parents alike—the grazing plate and cordial are included for every paid ticket). Children 4 and under are free, unless you'd like them to have their own grazing plate, if so please purchase a ticket for them too.
Please bring: closed-in shoes, a hat, sun protection, and a water bottle—it's spring on the farm.
Refunds: These excursions are arranged by a volunteer coordinator on a not-for-profit basis. Ticket fees are used to pre-purchase entry, pay vendors, and cover venue costs, which are committed before the day of the excursion. For this reason, fees are not refundable if you change your mind or are unable to attend—but you are welcome to transfer your spot to another family. If an excursion is cancelled or does not go ahead, you will be refunded any amounts that can be recovered from the venue or vendors.
