About

Wellington Secondary College is proud to invite you to the College's Valedictory Evening to celebrate the conclusion of the Class of 2026's school journey. The event will commence at 6.00pm and is expected to conclude around 7.30pm.

Due to the size of the cohort, we have had to move the event to a more suitable venue – Crossways Baptist Church in Burwood (2 Vision Drive, Burwood East). This venue was chosen because they have a large auditorium that will be able to meet our needs, and it has been successfully used by other state schools for similar events. Although it is being held in a space owned by a religious organisation, the event itself will contain no religious elements of any kind. While there are religious items and displays in some of the spaces outside of the auditorium, they will not play any role in the evening.

All 2026 Year 12 students have had the opportunity to reserve a seat at no cost prior to tickets being released for public sale.

To ensure the event begins on time, please ensure you are present and seated by 5.45pm.

The College has engaged professional photographers who will be available to take photographs before, during, and after the ceremony. These can be purchased online through the company - all students and families will be provided with the ordering information when it is available from the photographer.

The dress code for students is neat or smart casual.

Tickets:

Students do not require a ticket. Students will be seated in alphabetical order in Section A and some parts of Section B to facilitate the handing out of certificates. Students have also had a chance to reserve a seat prior to tickets going for sale.
