From Conflict to Connection: A Restorative Approach to Strengthening Family and Community of Care Relationships.
This session will explore how restorative approaches can strengthen relationships between consumers, families, carers, and communities of care within mental health settings. Participants will be introduced to the background and evidence underpinning restorative practice, including its application within mental health services. The presentation will discuss the importance of adopting a family and community of care focus, highlighting how collaborative and relationship-based approaches, including utilising examples using the restorative framework and continuum of practice, can improve engagement, understanding, and outcomes.
