ARC invites you to register for our Choir in Day on Saturday 5th September. Whether you have always wanted to sing in a choir and never had the time, or its been a while since your last sing, register here!
What is ARC’s Choir in Day?
ARC is a community arts organisation in Melbourne’s North that was established in 1996. To celebrate 30 Years of ARC we are hosting a series of events to spread the love of singing!
Choir in a Day is hosted by ARCappella Choir with our fabulous conductor Stella. At this event you will learn two pieces of music including the Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus which is an annual favourite of ARCappella featured in our Christmas events.
You will also learn a musical number from the Gilbert and Sullivan Operetta – The Mikado. We have chosen this to mark the 30th anniversary since ARC’s first musical was performed, which of course was the Mikado!
We encourage both past members of ARC and those yet to experience our amazing group to join.
When will this take place?
This Choir in a Day rehearsal will take place on Saturday 5th September 2pm-6pm. A light lunch, tea/coffee, snacks will be provided.
For those that have completed Choir in a Day – you will be invited to perform these pieces with ARCappella Choir at our Choral Concert at Fitzroy Town Hall on Sunday 25th October.
Where will this event take place?
The event will take place at the Salvation Army Hall Preston. Address: 263 Gower St Preston. The venue is also accessible by public transport.
Do I need to be able to read music?
While reading music helps, it is not essential. You will be provided with music scores and our MP3 Learning parts and we will teach you the pieces on the day!
How to I join?
To participate in this event – you will need to register here and purchase a registration ticket for $25.00.
Current members of ARC receive a discount code for this event.
What is the minium age for this event?
This event is for singers 18+ years. If you are an interested singer under 18 years please contact us to discuss participation.
