About

Parks & Gardens River Cruise with Seniors in Melbourne

Join us for a relaxed morning on the Yarra with Melbourne River Cruises, as we bring together the Seniors in Melbourne community — and anyone keen to join us — for a morning of mingling over the fine city we love exploring.

Seniors in Melbourne is a free online guide helping Victorians aged 60+ discover things to do, places to visit and events across Melbourne and regional Victoria. Seniors in Melbourne is shaped by a growing community of retirees who explore Melbourne and Victoria and share what they discover along the way. This cruise is one of our favourite ways to catch up in person — so come along, meet fellow explorers, and join the community.

The Parks & Gardens Cruise runs for an hour, with tea, coffee and guided commentary included along the way.

Tickets are $32.80 (concession) — 20% off the usual concession price of $41. Full adult fare is $45.

Accessibility

Melbourne River Cruises' vessels are not fully wheelchair accessible due to infrastructure constraints, but the crew does its best to accommodate guests who use wheelchairs. Foldable wheelchairs can be accommodated, and crew members are trained to assist with boarding and disembarking. Guests who can walk with assistance will also be supported to board safely.

The crew is not yet fully trained to communicate with guests who are deaf or hard of hearing, or who are blind or have low vision — however, carers or companions travelling with a guest who needs this support can join free of charge.

We want everyone to feel comfortable on the day. If there's anything we can do to help — mobility support, seating preferences, or anything else — just let us know when booking and we'll do our best to arrange it.
