Hosted by Bass Coast Support Work Services (BCSWS), this special event brings together our local community for a night of great food, live music, dance floor boogying, line dancing, auctions and fundraising—all in support of a cause that will make a lasting difference.
What is Phoenix Rise?
If you've ever driven through Kilcunda, chances are you've noticed the Phoenix Rise sign and wondered what it is.
Phoenix Rise is a unique 110-acre property owned by Bass Coast Support Work Services (BCSWS). It is home to our disability day programs and respite accommodation, where people living with disability come to learn new skills, build friendships, enjoy community activities and experience the freedom of being surrounded by nature.
Every week, Phoenix Rise comes alive with classes, art programs, social groups, respite stays, camps and community events that help participants build confidence, independence and meaningful connections.
Why are we fundraising?
As Phoenix Rise continues to grow, so does the need for accessible transport.
Many people who would love to attend our programs simply can't get there due to transport barriers. Others require wheelchair-accessible transport, which is currently limited.
Our goal is to purchase a dedicated BCSWS Community Bus that will allow more people—including wheelchair users—to access Phoenix Rise and enjoy everything it has to offer. The bus will also support transport to medical appointments, community outings, day trips, holidays and other experiences that promote independence and social inclusion.
Every ticket purchased brings us one step closer to making that vision a reality.
Your ticket includes:
• Welcome drink on arrival
• Live country music and entertainment
• Dancing throughout the evening
• Access to raffles, silent auctions, live auctions and fundraising games
• An incredible night shared with friends, family and the wider Bass Coast community
Soft Drinks and alcohol will be available to purchase on the night. And food vendors will be on site selling a yummy range of food.
Throughout the evening you'll have the opportunity to bid on exclusive auction items, win amazing prizes and help us put more people on the road to greater independence.
Dress Code
Country Formal
Think boots, ballgowns, blazers, cowboy hats, denim, dresses and a touch of country glamour.
Whether you're planning a date night, celebrating with friends or simply looking for one of the Bass Coast's best nights out, everyone is welcome.
The Phoenix Rise Country Ball is about more than just fundraising—it's about bringing our community together to create opportunities for people living with disability.
We can't wait to welcome you to what we hope will become an annual Bass Coast tradition.
