What if you and I begin to practice living our lives as if everything is sacred; a rite of passage, where inside every movement is an ancient and silent prayer waiting to be celebrated; where inside every breath is the beginning of a rare and rhythmical song yearning to be expressed; where trapped inside every moment is a hidden or forbidden shape asking to be revealed and revered; where inside every dance you create altars on the path with each step, which alters the steps for those who will follow. This is the co-creation of our ceremonial RITES & RHYTHMS OF RITUAL.

Our journey begins with the sanctuary of self, the body as our holy room, where we take refuge in our intimate dance to discover and discern our wonder and our wounds. We expand our communion to include one other, a dance of deep dialogue, where each voice is listened to and spoken through movement, shape, gesture and pause. We widen our lens to include the community, where an expansive sense of belonging is tended and nurtured, and diversity is respected and reclaimed. We complete our journey as we rest in the wide arms of ritual, a divine portal to help us find our way from the dance floor to the world floor of our every day lives. 

This immersion is for those who wish to deepen their application of creative ritual making and explore ways to bring ordinary gestures to life. The first part of our time together is a deepening of our curiosity on what makes a ritual and how, followed by space to cultivate and create your own lived experience of ritual over several weeks. During this time kate-marie and michael will continue to support and reach out to you until we meet again to share our musings and magic of what unfurled.
