About
The Comic Books We Drew is an original two-act adventure play about friendship, responsibility, and the water cycle – brought to life by a cast of local young performers aged 7 to 12.
Act One: A deserted island. One bucket of water. Two surfing boys who wash ashore and waste their only water. A fast-talking hermit crab. A mermaid who sings terribly off-key. A shark who thinks he's a movie star. A 100-year-old sea turtle. And a Trash Monster made of plastic – who doesn't want to be there either. Two best friends must save the day – and learn that every drop counts.
Act Two: A map drawn from memory. A compass that takes them everywhere except where they planned. A chaotic journey through the African jungle, a scorching desert, a disco-dancing polar bear's glacier, and a dinosaur world where one of them turns into a dinosaur! The best adventures aren't about getting it right. They're about getting through it – together.
This is a fun, family-friendly show about imagination, teamwork, and caring for our planet. Perfect for ages 3 to 14, and enjoyable for the whole family.
