Come join a hands-on workshop where you’ll be making a 1-of-a-kind pair of sneakers!

Our 1-Day Sneaker Workshop is the most accessible of all our shoemaking classes at Leffler. With no specialised equipment required and no previous experience necessary, it's the perfect introduction to both shoemaking and leathercraft. Beginners are warmly welcome! This workshop is perfect for friends & family groups.

In just one day, you'll design and make your own personalised leather sneakers in your choice of high, mid or low-top styles. You'll be selecting leathers from our fabulous leather warehouse! The sky is the limit - bring your ideas to Lou, and she'll help you transform them into wearable art.

You'll leave with not only a unique pair of handmade sneakers, but also the confidence and skills to continue in your own time … Sneaker kits and supplies are available so you can carry on sneaker-making to your heart’s content.

Your tutor will be Lou Clifton of 'Shoe School'. She has run shoemaking workshops in NZ and Australia for over a decade and has trained in Japan and the US.

Sizes 35-47 available in black or white soles.

After booking, you'll receive a printable A4 template to design your sneakers before the workshop.

Classes are held 9-5pm. Refreshments are provided - if you don't want to bring your own lunch, choose the lunch add-on at checkout and we'll fetch you a delicious fresh banh mi.

Ages 15+. Classes are limited to x4 students. Please email us if you would like to request a custom date (min x2 ppl).
