About
Does your child have a great imagination but isn't sure how to turn their ideas into a story?
Join one of Australia's favourite children's authors, Phil Kettle, for a fun, interactive 6 week online writing workshop where participants will learn the secrets behind writing exciting stories they'll be proud of.
Perfect for young writers, reluctant writers, avid readers, gamers, sports lovers and creative kids alike, this workshop shows students that the best story ideas often come from their own everyday lives, hobbies and interests.
Through Phil's proven story planning framework, students will discover how to:
- Create interesting characters readers will love.
- Build exciting plots and mysteries.
- Understand what makes a story engaging.
- Plan their ideas using a simple 4-step storytelling framework.
- Develop the confidence to write their own high-quality narrative.
The workshops are visual, structured and highly interactive. Students will brainstorm together while creating their own individual story throughout the program.
By the end of the six weeks, participants won't just have learned about storytelling—they'll have the tools and confidence to continue writing long after the workshop finishes.
