Want to meet our firefighters, view a fire truck up close, and learn about fire safety? At our larger fire stations, FRV hosts demonstrations for kindergartens, pre-schools, schools and other community groups.
Firefighters cover basic fire safety and show how they use specialised rescue equipment. Bookings are essential please book for each person attending (adults and children). These sessions are free and take one hour.
Visitor Safety Notice:
Eastern Hill is an operational Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) fire station. By attending the Friday Display, visitors acknowledge and agree to remain within designated public areas at all times and to comply with all directions given by FRV personnel.
Children must be under the direct supervision of a parent, guardian, teacher, or other responsible adult at all times. FRV personnel conducting the Friday Display are not responsible for the supervision or care of individual children.
For the safety of visitors and firefighters, access to operational areas of the station is strictly restricted. As Eastern Hill is an active emergency response facility, fire appliances and personnel may be required to respond to incidents at any time. Visitors must immediately follow any safety instructions or directions provided by FRV personnel in the event of an emergency response or other operational requirement.
Entry to the station and participation in the Friday Display are at the visitor's own risk, except to the extent liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
