150th Anniversary of Ercildoune historical building

Ercildoune, the headquarters, of the Footscray Historical Society is 150 years old this  year.

Have you driven past the remarkable building and wondered about its history and what's happening inside? 

Are  you a member or want to be a member of the Footscray Historical Society and keen to know more about our building?

If so, then we warmly invite you to join us to celebrate the history of Ercildoune, the original home to the National Bank of Australasia and home to the Footscray Historical Society.

Come and enjoy music from local musicians, learn more from our guest speakers and displays, and partake in some delicious refreshments.

When:  2pm - Sunday 11^th October 2026 (Doors open at 1.45)

Where: The Civic Precinct and Community Hub (Auditorium) 61 Napier St Footscray

A guided tour of the Ercildoune building (66 Napier St) will be available at 4pm after the main event.
