Celebrate the building of Reid 100 years ago

Back in 1926 the Federal Capital Commission (FCC) houses were being built ready to house the many people who would support the Provisional, now Old Parliament House.

There were 99 of these FCC houses built as the first houses in Reid and it's great to see most of them are still standing.

Come and have some fun as we celebrate this milestone

Date: Sunday 18 October 2026, 2.30 to 4 pm
Place: Dirrawan Gardens Pre-School end

There will be games – coffee – drinks – a sausage sizzle – a cake stall – and more

Hear local historian Tony Maple – find out about your home – catch up with friends and talk to neighbours.

It’s free to come along but please book in so we can order enough sausages & you can register for some of the goodies!
