Camino of St Joseph 2026 - Canberra

This year's Camino is organised by Mary Help of Christians parish in conjunction with other parishes. The Camino begins with 8pm mass at St Joseph's O'Connor then departs and travels overnight, arriving for 6am mass at Mary Help of Christians, 115 Hodgson Cres, Pearce.

Confession will be available from 7.00pm. Prayerful preparation is just as important as our physical readiness. Take up the opportunity for Confession before Mass on Friday evening at St Joseph's O'Connor, or prior in your own time and prepare your prayer intentions for this pilgrimage.

The overnight men's pilgrimage will end at Mary Help of Christians, Pearce (115 Hodgson Cres, Pearce ACT 2607) with 8.00am Mass followed by a hot bbq breakfast feast and celebration (the Mass and breakfast are open to all) with coffee and drinks available.

As we pilgrimage to each parish, there will be a 15 minute prayer stop, which will include Adoration and a decade of the rosary.

The Return Service: if you purchased a bus ticket, it is a transfer ticket only from Mary Help of Christians Pearce on Friday evening. Leave your cars at Pearce Church car park 6:15pm, then Pick-up from there to St Joseph’s O’Connor for the 7pm start confessions.
