FREE Thursday Live Jazz with Seb Hazel-Harrison and Felix Neville * All Ages * At Rossco's Bar, Noble Craft, Brookvale
Seb Hazel-Harrison brings a soul sensibility as guitarist of neo-soul band Lapis, as well as performer in a number of vocal/guitar duos around Sydney. Fellow Sydney Conservatorium jazz student, Felix Neville is a rising Australian jazz alto saxophonist, specialising in the big band tradition while actively pushing into modern, cross-genre collaborations and boundary-pushing projects such as a recent large-scale jazz big band and hip-hop fusion project. Felix' work highlights a technical mastery of the alto saxophone combined with an adaptation to contemporary improvised music Seb & Felix' combined performance is an amalgamation of their broad performing experience and captivating personal language.
