About

The 7th annual Percussion & Drums Professional Development (PDPD) event is being held on Friday, 22nd January 2027 at Northcote High School.

The professional development day for teachers, students, musicians, and enthusiasts alike will be enlightened with a variety of sessions, including:

* Brazilian maracatu drumming with Maracatu Estrela do Mar
* Australian percussion ensemble repertoire presented by Kaboom Percussion
* Exploring poly rhythm, cross rhythm and odd time meters with Ronny Ferella
* Private studio teaching with Katie Thomas from Victorian Percussion Academy
* Repair Maintenance with Alastair Kerr, followed by Repair Cafe with Marissa Di Marzio, Leanda Smith, and Hamish Upton

Doors open for registration from 8.15 am. Morning tea and lunch will be provided. The day will end in a plenary session with complimentary tea.
