About
This event is raising funds for Maliwan, a Thai-Karen woman who houses volunteers from the Cardoner Network. Maliwan will deliver rice to refugee camps on the Myanmar-Thai border. These camps consist mainly of Karen minority families persecuted for their faith and ethnicity. The rice will be paid for by the money we raise. These communities are in dire need of food. They are heavily impacted by the ongoing Burmese civil war and rainy season extreme floods. Rice and everyday essential food and supply items are scarce if not inaccessible.
Teams will be arranged at the event for a thrilling round robin tournament. No prior volleyball experience is needed, anyone and everyone is welcome to play or spectate.
Come have fun and make a difference too. See you there.
