In a suburban Southern California house, aspiring screenwriter Austin is busy writing his screenplay to impress a bigshot Hollywood producer. In the peace and quiet of the desert, he taps away at his typewriter until his oasis is shattered by his wayward brother, Lee, stumbling unexpectedly through the door. Lee has been living rough in the desert, surviving by stealing and petty crime, and when he pitches his own trashy Western to Austin’s producer, the brothers’ rivalry spirals into a vicious battle for success, identity and control.
