PAT Testing – Event Information
The PAT Testing session will be held on site at Bentleigh Secondary College. Students should enter via the gate on Margaretta Street.
Parents/guardians should arrive at the designated start time. Students will then be taken to a nearby classroom to complete two PAT tests, this includes a Literacy and Numeracy test. Students will be using laptops supplied by Bentleigh Secondary College.
What students need to bring:
- A pencil case with a couple of pens/pencils
- A drink bottle with water
Students do not need to bring a calculator. Paper will be provided for working out.
Each PAT test is approximately 40 minutes.
Important booking information:
Each session is capped at 40 students. Once a session reaches capacity, bookings will close and students will not be able to book into that time.
Why is PAT Testing important?
PAT Testing provides us with valuable information about each student’s strengths and areas for further development in Literacy and Numeracy. This information is shared with teachers so they can begin to understand each student’s learning needs and strengths even before they officially begin at Bentleigh Secondary College. PAT data also helps us when creating classes and planning learning programs, ensuring we can best support students as they transition into secondary college.
Even if your child completed the Edutest for the GAT program, it is important they book a time to come in for the PAT testing.
