Tuart Forest Primary School invites parents, carers and families from our school and wider local community to join us for a practical and informative session about supporting children’s speech, language and communication development.
This session is suitable for families of young children preparing to start school, as well as children already attending school. We’ll explore what oral language development looks like, some signs that a child may need additional support, and—most importantly—simple, practical strategies you can use at home through everyday talking, playing and sharing books.
You’ll leave with ideas for building your child’s vocabulary, understanding of questions and instructions, sentence development, storytelling and social communication skills , as well as strategies for making everyday activities and book sharing valuable opportunities for language development.
All interested families are welcome — you do not need to have a child currently attending Tuart Forest Primary School.
Come along, learn a little more about how children develop language, and take home some easy strategies that can make a big difference.
