About
The Kids Helping Kids Christmas Spectacular is a new family-friendly community event designed especially for children from Kindy to Grade 12 and their families. Held at Sarina Hall on Saturday, 5 December 2026, the event will provide an affordable, safe and inclusive Christmas celebration from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm.
Hosted by the Opal Chicks, the evening will feature live music from Mango Junction, with Jay & Dave from MMM as MCs, creating a real live concert and disco experience specifically for children. The Christmas-themed celebration will include dancing, games, prizes, Christmas competitions, a Santa meet-and-greet, photo opportunities and a canteen, with parents and carers encouraged to stay, supervise and join in the fun.
Importantly, the event has a strong community purpose. With entry only $5 per child, all proceeds will support Variety – the Children’s Charity Queensland, helping Queensland children who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with disability.
The event aims to bring local schools, children and families together while promoting inclusion, kindness, community connection and giving. Our message is simple: local kids helping Queensland kids while celebrating Christmas and creating wonderful memories together.
