NRL League Stars Inspire - Health & Wellbeing

The NRL League Stars Inspire - Health & Wellbeing program is designed to inspire young people to develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle, resilience and a positive mind and approach to life and its many and different challenges and opportunities. It is for this reason that health and physical literacy is now recognised across the globe as a fundamental competency that all students need to acquire during their schooling years to live productive and satisfying lives.

Students will learn about

  • Healthy practices, behaviours and attitudes
  • Resilience strategies for dealing with disappointments, set-backs and challenging situations
  • Safe practices and risks associated with unsafe behaviours,
  • The benefits arising from establishing a healthy lifestyle

Students will learn to

  • Evaluate the risks and consequences of different lifestyle choices
  • Develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle
  • Use strategies to manage difficult or challenging situations, and act in safe ways
  • Respond positively to challenges and failure, such as using self-talk, early help-seeking behaviour’s and optimistic thinking.
