About
Bach vs Handel - the Choral Sing-off
George Frideric Handel and Johann Sebastian Bach were heavyweights of the Baroque era, both born in Germany just a few weeks apart in 1685. While they shared an absolute mastery of counterpoint and a love of magnificent wigs, they chose completely opposite career paths: Handel became a globetrotting, opera-producing superstar in London, while Bach remained a church organist in Germany, quietly churning out masterpieces while managing a massive family.
