Session Four: English VLPs in a 3-6 classroom in practice
Our final CoP for the year will be a follow up to the Term Three focus on utilising the Victorian Lesson Plans in Years 3-6. This session will be hosted by the team at Wattle View Primary School who have spent this year implementing the VLP English text study units across the school and have kindly agreed to share where they are up to in this journey.
During the session, they will cover:
- the benefits of utilising these units
- the challenges they have encountered and how they have worked through these
- the alignment of the VLPs to their documented, guaranteed and viable curriculum
- the current design of the 3-6 literacy block
- the next steps for the school for the next year and beyond
There will also be opportunity for participants to collaborate, discuss and forward plan.
Ample street parking is available around the school.
